Named one of The Hollywood Reporter's Composers on the Verge of the A-List , Hollander has scored and written songs for many acclaimed feature films including Adrienne Shelly's Waitress starring Keri Russell, the dark comedy Serious Moonlight starring Meg Ryan and directed by Cheryl Hines, and An Invisible Sign starring Jessica Alba. Andrew talks about his collaborative approach to film scoring in Variety's Music For Screens issue alongside Michael Giacchino and Hans Zimmer.
Hollander has also worked with many acclaimed recording artists and musicians from the iconic Yusef Lateef to New York Dolls frontman David Johansen. His eclectic musical tastes and versatility are reflected in a diverse range of projects that include the UK band Your Vegas ( Universal / Republic ), Say Hey Record's White Rabbits, Atlantic recording artist Shanna Crooks, and Dana Parish's debut album Uncrushed, which Hollander co-wrote and produced, including the hit single Not My Problem which debuted in the top #20 on the Billboard charts. Most recently Hollander completed producing the upcoming EP from acclaimed Brooklyn recording artist Christian Gibbs ( Lucinda Black Bear ) and is currently writing songs for Christina Aguilera's forthcoming album.
Hollander is the founder of Sugarbox Studios and co-founder of goodypenny, a new multimedia post house / creative boutique based in New York City. The company has integrated the talents of award winning editors, composers, directors, and vfx artists into one space enabling them to produce content across any and every channel.
